ACLU joins lawsuit filed by teacher fired for undergoing in vitro

The American Civil Liberties Union announced they are joining the discrimination lawsuit filed by a Fort Wayne teacher who lost her job.

Emily Herx was fired from her Catholic school after going through in vitro fertilization treatments.

She is now suing the diocese for disability discrimination.

The church wants the court to dismiss the case claiming the school is a religious employer and they took action based on religious beliefs.
