A convicted killer is set to be released this weekend after serving only half of his sentence.

Robert Evan Lee was convicted for the 1986 murder of Ellen Marks in Bloomington.

Lee stabbed Marks to death, cut her body into pieces and stuffed them into trash bags.

At the time, he was given the maximum sentence of 60 years but will only serve 25 years because of good-time credit and earning degrees while imprisoned.

The Indiana department of corrections is still looking for a place for Lee to serve out his probation after a Bloomington shelter refused to provide a home for him.
