One of the state’s most strict smoking bans is already going up in smoke.

A group of Johnson County leaders voted this week to repeal a smoking ban that covered virtually every public building in the county.

The ban, which was passed last month, was going to take effect the first of the year.

The new county commissioner said he wanted to take another look at the ban after receiving several complaints.
