BLOOMINGTON – With the Big Ten season in sight, Indiana is making quick work of their tune-ups.

For a second straight game the sixth-ranked Hoosiers had no problem with a non-conference opponent, this time beating Florida Atlantic 88-52 at Assembly Hall on Friday night.

It leaves Tom Crean’s squad with just one more game to get ready for the Big Ten season-a December 28th game with Atlantic Sun opponent Jacksonville in Bloomington. Indiana will open the Big Ten season on December 31st at Iowa.

Cody Zeller led the way for the Hoosiers with 24 points in a solid shooting effort in which he hit 6-of-9 shots from the field while also connecting on all but one of his 13 free throw attempts. His contributions inside helped Indiana turn the game into a rout from the get go as they took a 55-25 advantage to the break.

Christian Watford had 17 points for the Hoosiers while Victor Oladipo had 16 as four starters ended up in double figures.

Absent from the game was freshman Jeremy Hollowell, who Crean said not there due to a personal matter. The coach said that academics did not play a role in Hollowell not playing on Friday night.
