A Lafayette, Ind. man allegedly shooting at a stray cat is arrested when the bullet strikes a nearby home.
Deputies responded to the Hunters Crest Subdivision, near County Road 450 South and Concord Road, around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
During the course of the investigation, deputies documented apparent bullet damage to a nearby home.
Deputies returned Tuesday to question neighborhood resident Derek J. Rector, 24 of Lafayette, Ind.
Deputies arrested Rector for allegedly shooting a firearm into an inhabited dwelling. He has been preliminarily charged with C Felony Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon.
A resident was home at the time of the incident but there were no injuries.

The authorities should let the homeowners (or the cat) try shooting him in the nuts, but they'd need a bigger target. Scum.
