TIPPECANOE COUNTY, IND. — Firefighters responded to the Industrial Pallet Corporation, near U.S. 52 and State Road 28 in Tippecanoe County, around 8 p.m. Saturday Night.

22 departments with more than 100 firefighters from around Tippecanoe County helped to bring the fire under control early Sunday morning.

Aggravating the fire was the fact there were no fire hydrants near the factory so tankers were used to bring water to the scene.

It’s estimated about 100,000 wooden pallets burned in the fire which could continue to smolder for days.

It’s not clear what started the fire. No injuries were reported.
