The Indianapolis Zoo has been named one of Vault’s Top 10 Nonprofit Internship Programs and is now looking for a fresh crop of interns.

As you would imagine, zoo officials said an internship goes a long way to helping students get jobs at zoos and aquariums around the country after graduation. The internship is unpaid.

They currently have an immediate need for a new intern in the encounters-flamingo area. Applications for that position are due by Jan. 15.

To apply for the summer internship, the application must be turned in by March 10.

The zoo has all the application material on their website.
