Prevent being a victim of auto theft

  • Lock your vehicle up
  • Never hide a second pair of keys in your vehicle
  • Hide all of your valuables
  • Don’t leave documents, such as bank statements, bills or other personal items, in your car
  • Never leave your vehicle registration or title in your car
  • Park in well-lit areas with plenty of pedestrian traffic
  • Never leave your vehicle running unattended
  • Leave your emergency brake on and your transmission in park to prevent a towing theft
  • Use your garage if you have one
  • Remove the electronic ignition fuse, coil wire, rotor, distributor or otherwise disable your vehicle if you are leaving it unattended for an extended period of time
  • Engrave expensive accessories and major vehicle parts with your VIN or personal identification number

    You might want to invest on as comprehensive a security system as possible. Having bullet-proof tempered glass windows also helps keep thieves out.
