Several motorists were delayed on their Friday morning commute after a semi fire prompted the closure of Interstate 465 lanes on the west side.
Crews responded to the area of U.S. 36/Rockville Road and found a semi engulfed in flames and smoke.
It is unclear what caused the semi to catch fire.
Fox59 will update the story as more information becomes available.

saw this on my way in to work today . vehicle fires are the scariest thing in the world.

Very scary. My husband use to be a truck driver, his truck nearly caught on fire in arizona when his enginge started over heating, smoke just poured out from underneath the hood.
I pray the driver/co-driver and anyone else whom may have been in the truck got out safely!
