INDIANAPOLIS – In the end, the Colts pulled a bit of a front office trade with the Chargers.

Just a little under a week after losing Vice President of Operations Tom Telesco to San Diego, who hired him as general manager, the Colts have hired Jimmy Raye of the Chargers to replace him.

Raye was with the Chargers for 17 years and was the team’s Director of Player Personnel since 2008.

“We’re excited to be adding someone as high caliber as Jimmy Raye to the Colts organization” said Colts General Manager Ryan Grigson in a release by the team. “He has a strong football pedigree, is highly intelligent, and is a top notch evaluator along with being a great human being. I am looking forward to rolling up my sleeves with him this offseason as we hit the ground running into free agency, the draft, and beyond.”
