IU climbs to no. 2 in latest basketball polls

BLOOMINGTON – The Indiana Hoosiers are creeping back toward the top ranking in college basketball.

The latest AP men’s basketball poll ranks Indiana #2 in the country. The Hoosiers (15-1) also rose three spots and garnered 13 first-place in the first poll following their win over Minnesota.

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, Indiana also rose three spots to #2. The team hosts Wisconsin on Tuesday and travels to Northwestern Sunday.

Louisville took the top spot in both polls.

Butler inched up to #13 in both polls after solid wins against Saint Joseph’s and Dayton. Notre Dame fell to #20 in the AP poll and USA Today Coaches Poll after losing to Connecticut.
