Large spill prompts closure of I-65 lanes for several hours near Franklin

A semi crash that involved a spill on northbound Interstate 65 near the Franklin exit closed the roadways until about 9:30 a.m. Monday.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, diesel, antifreeze and hydraulic fluid spilled from the jackknifed semi.

At least one person was transported to an area hospital after the semi flipped over on the road, approximately three miles south of Franklin, Ind. in Johnson County.

Indiana State Police continue to investigate the incident.
