Shelby County home surrounded by flood waters

SHELBY COUNTY, IND. — Residents in northwestern Shelby County woke up to find their homes surrounded by flood waters.

According to Shelby County dispatchers, residents near County Roads 400 West and 100 North are awaiting rescue by dive team members.

Dispatchers tell Fox59 everyone in the house is okay and rescuers are waiting for daylight to put their boat in the water to rescue the family.

Police say the family has made living arrangements once they are helped from the home.
