An anonymous tipster led police to a bank robbery suspect.

Monday, a white male robbed the BMO Harris Bank on Meridian Oaks Drive in Greenwood, police said.

Tuesday, a tipster reported seeing dye-stained currency at a neighbors house in the 600 block of North Bradley Street in Indianapolis. When police went to investigate, they say Justin Ray, 28, ran up the stairs. He was later found hiding in the closet with the dye-stained currency.

Banks will often use dye packs to permanently mark money that is taken during a robbery.

Ray is charged with armed robbery, criminal confinement and pointing a firearm.
