All lanes of I-69 reopened in Grant County following fatal hit-and-run crash

3:45 p.m. – State police say all lanes of I-69 near mile marker 264 in Grant County have reopened following a fatal hit-and-run crash.

3:02 p.m. – State police have located the Jeep that left the scene of a fatal hit-and-run crash in Grant County. Police said the driver turned himself in to police in Van Buren, Ind.

The northbound lanes remain closed near mile marker 264. Police couldn’t say how long the closure would last and are telling drivers to avoid the area.

(2:40 p.m.) GRANT COUNTY – A fatal hit-and-run crash in Grant County has closed I-69 northbound.

It happened at mile marker 264 near the Marion exit.

Indiana State Police said the northbound lanes would be closed for an “extended period of time.”

They’re looking for a gray, SUV-style Jeep that left the scene. The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Police said the Jeep has heavy damage to the front end. It may also be missing a passenger side mirror.
