UPDATE: Missing girl found safe

A 10-year-old girl missing since Friday afternoon has been found.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say Tatyana Staten was found on the 6200 block of East 46th Street Sunday morning. Police received a call around 10 a.m. Sunday, informing them a child had been found. Officers arrived at the caller’s house where they found Tatyana in good condition. She was transported to Community East Hospital to be checked out.

The person who found Tatyana is a neighbor of the family. They told police they saw her wandering around the Devington Shopping Plaza and took her back to their house.

An Amber Alert was not issued because certain requirements have to be met. Amber Alerts are approved and activated by a function of the Indiana State Amber Alert and not IMPD.

I have been praying for this young girl every since I heard that she was missing. Look how good God it!! Her mother should grab her, hug her tight and never let go!!!

Your right, she should grab her, hug her, and then beat the holy tar out of her like she was going to in the first place, which is why the little girl didn't come home because she got in trouble at school. Go ahead momma and whoop that as#!!!

Prayers answered. I'd guess, however, that she's REALLY in doo-doo now. Hopefully there were lessons learned.

Prayer didnt have anything to do with it. The neighbor is the one that needs to be thanked.

How you must fumble along in life, Mary. While it is true the neighbor deserves credit for bringing her home, the child was in God's hands for 48 hours or so. That she was found safe and alive is the result of prayer, plain and simple.

So glad this child was found safe. I believe the the Amber Alert system needs to include runaway children. They are in as much danger.

I totally agree! So many runaways end up dead or sold into child sex slavery. What makes authorities think that runaways don't deserve protection? They are in as much danger as kidnapping victims; you can't depend on friends to hide them and care for them! This could've turned out a lot worse!

If you use the Amber Alert on every missing or runaway child, it becomes useless. It is only for children known to be in imminent danger.

I don't see any of on the murder pages suggesting where your God was when all of these poor people were tortured and killed? Or did your God just decide that they deserved it?

Turn or burn, Satan is alive and well and living on planet earth! Satan took them out and God took them home. If we Christians are wrong, we lose nothing, if your wrong….

You're educated and he obviously isn't! I pray you don't fall into his trap. I am an old white woman who sat on the back of the bus with the maids from 56-62 I rode the city bus home from Miami Shores Elementary school every day. I'm convinced God had his hand in my finding a seat towards the back of the bus and being fussed over by these beautiful, loving ladies, it was the only nurturing I received during my childhood.
