INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are looking for Seantel Marsden, 41, for questioning in connection with a fatal crash in the Castleton area early Saturday morning.
Rashshaad Artis, 29, was killed and his girlfriend, Shanntel Lewis, 33, was injured when he car crashed as she sought to escape her ex-boyfriend.
Lewis told police that Marsden followed her from a northeast side home late Friday night to the 6000 block of East 82nd Street.
Lewis was unsure if Marsden’s pick-up truck struck her car or she lost control of her vehicle as she careened across a median barrier and struck another car head-on.
Kyle Gertz, 31, and Tara Bain, 40, were injured. Bain’s unborn child was not injured. Artis died in the crash and Lewis was injured.
Homicide detectives tell Fox 59 News that Marsden is not a suspect at this time but is wanted for questioning.
In June, 2011, Lewis received a protective order against Marsden after she told police he broke into her home.
Several months later, Marsden was stopped in the 4500 block of Allisonville Road as another ex-girlfriend told police he was chasing her down in his vehicle.
IMPD recovered a gun from Marsden’s vehicle at the time.
Investigators located Marsden’s vehicle near 38th & Washington Blvd. It was towed and processed by police. Marsden was not with the truck when it was located.
Police tell Fox59 there is not an active warrant for Marsden but they are looking for him.
