Fox59 News is learning more about the two Indianapolis teens accused of going on a crime spree across the city Wednesday.

Thursday, Indianapolis Metro Police announced charges for the 15 and 17-year-old teens accused of killing one man, shooting another and going on a crime spree across the city.

The two teens face felony robbery charges and are at this point considered suspects in at three other crimes that took place Wednesday morning– including the murder of John Yingling, who was shot while sitting in his truck in the 3300 block of Babette Court on the city’s south side.

Meantime, we’ve learned these two teens live close to each other and have extensive criminal histories.

Fox59 found pictures of the 17-year-old suspect showing a large sum of cash on his Facebook page. We also discovered an online video of the teen rapping, referring to robbing and killing. Now it looks like the teens face charges for that very same thing.

Detectives anticipate even more charges will be filed against the boys.  They say they recovered a gun from the suspects on Wednesday, but Fox59 has learned the Indianapolis Fire Department Dive Team was searching for a second gun at Eagle Creek Reservoir off 56th Street Thursday.

An IMPD officer reported seeing an object thrown from the suspect’s vehicle during the pursuit.

IFD Dive Commander Captain Scott Huff is confident his team will find what was thrown from the suspect’s vehicle.

“We have a pretty good area we’re working and it’s gonna be from the shoreline out to about 14-15 feet and it gets to about waist deep at that point. What’s in here will remain here until we find it,” said Captain Huff.

We’re told the 17-year-old suspect is still in the hospital for a condition unrelated to the high speed crash that ended the pursuit.

Fox59 News has decided not to name the suspects or show their faces so as not to jeopardize the police investigation.

Why on earth were these pos’s out on the street? I’ll bet they’ve got some real proud parents at home!!! Just goes to show how good our justice systems are working!!!!

    • the truth hurts

My best guess is one parent is at home and dosent give a chit about junior as long as the gubberment money keeps rolling in so she can get drugs, malt liquor, and flamin hot cheetos and daddy most likely is in the joint.

  • Don't Know

The mother of one of the boys begged last year to have her son locked up because she had lost control of him but he was released to once again do what he does…..he will be locked up for a while this time. I'm just glad he was caught.

I feel bad for the mother of this young man, these two boys will spend the rest of their lives in prison for what something so stupid. What were they thinking about?
As a mother who has cried out to the system for help with a teenage daughter I feel for that boys mother. Our hands are tied, If they (kids) do get into trouble who do you think really pays the price. Probation fees, court dates, fines, ect…. These kids do not pay any cost it is the parent who is seeking help. So in fact we are the ones punished for getting help.

mom…yeesh. feel bad for his mom? YES..he WILL spend the rest of his life locked up – HOPEFULLY. actually I wish he'd be put to death. there is a WIFE and kids on the southside who lost their husband/father because of their "something so stupid"….! Who gives two sh*ts about these losers?!! I certainly don't …they wouldnt care about you if they came up to rob you and shoot you. and YES, parents of underage kids out committing crimes SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. START out getting control of your kids when they are young, then MAINTAIN that control as they grow older. TEACH THEM from the time you have them, be RESPONSIBLE parents. at 15 and 17 you know better than to go around shooting, robbing, stealing and KILLING INNOCENT people! get over it you dumba*s..no wonder your daughter is a hot mess. cry me a flippin' river.

The picture of him with the money had nothing to do with him robbing. The picture is old he didn't steal that money

    • Mettaintheworld

HA…where do you think he got it??? from his "job"??? oh, wait, maybe he got a tax return?! oh, no that wouldnt add up…I'm sure he doesnt have a job NOR pay taxes. the photo of the money is his 'ooh look at me, I'm a dumba** thug who's out robbing and dealing drugs…yo! status.' It all starts at home. parents need to be involved and stay involved from DAY ONE. if you can't control them or you don't want to do the job..then don't.have.them. because you are setting loose nothing good into this world. Just because you CAN have kids, doesnt mean you SHOULD have kids.

This is the problem with our system. When your child is acting out and you turn to the system for help, no help is available to you. Yet if you punish them or God for bid whoop that ass then you as the parent get into trouble. Yet the state does not want to deal with them either. Where does a parent turn to for help when your child is acting this way?
NOW how about those people that this act has now effected? Poor John was sitting in his truck minding his own business. The poor man walking his dog.

The picture of him with the money had nothing to do with him robbing. The picture is old he didn't steal that money And the video is all the way from Jan of last year.. not even close to this time

    • Guess

The picture of him with all that cash…people were making a statement that it was back in Jan..long before his crime spree..we're did he get all that money? Oh..he was working…he and the other one is nothing but a heartless thug. They kill one person and wounded another. I bet that car was stolen too. I hope they spend the rest of their worthless lives in prison. They already have a long rap sheet. My prayers go out to all the victims.

"someone", get a clue. Either you are sticking up for them because they are your friend, or you're a thug yourself. Either way, learn from their mistakes, or end up in jail yourself. Don't waste your breath defending them, they are killers and deserve the electric chair.

    • Mettaintheworld

100 and 10 percent AGREE with 'another guest'- AMEN! they will NEVER be productive members of our society.

    • Stand-Up

Your eyes must be worthless or should be cocked like Forrest Whitaker's….they were white. See, the righteous & mature never use ignorance when speaking on a tragedy. Maybe you got a bullied into abandoment & always have feared publically speaking out about 'niggers' because you're well aware of the consequences for being a coward. Why don't you start shooting all the worthless niggas….but naah, your behind a computer screen shotting bullshit. Stick to Call of Duty or some other facade you live in.

  • Mettaintheworld

I have to say though…some black support group, some big wig minister of a black church would step in if it would have been TWO WHITES kids out shooting and targeting ONLY black people…as A HATE CRIME! You all know that is true. I don't care if they are black, white, asian, mexican. I want them to get the death penalty. they are WORTHLESS.

    • Epyon007

That's the truth in so many words. But they should spend the rest of their lives in prison instead of just killing them. See GUN control would NOT have applied to them for the simple fact: THEY DON'T CARE. CRIMINALS do what they want, when they want, how they want, and we the law-abiding citizen are left HELPLESS when this senseless crap happens. Parents of minors are and SHOULD always be held accountable for the actions of their children reguardless of they are compitent parents or not.

Race has absolutely NOTHING to do with the crime that this world is experiencing. Its all over the WORLD, not just Indianapolis. Its what we have become. People are insensitive to others. Life is not valued. The scariest thing is to meet someone who doesnt value their own life because they surely won't value yours. We need to start early with our kids as parents. But I do agree with some prior statements. Sometimes a parent does all they can do and the child still goes down the wrong path. All of these children dont come from broken homes with poor welfare mothers and a father in prison. Some of these kids come from afluent homes, rich married parents, and anything a child could ask for. Race, social class, money, structure of the home, gender…..none of it has anything to do with the crime these days. The lack of compassion and a value on life spreads far across all those categories. Praying for eveyone involved.
