BMW is recalling more than half a million cars for possible power failure and engine stalling problems.

Apparently, a battery cable that supplies power to the fuse box can wear out and cause problems.

The recall affects BMW’s 1 and 3-series and Z4 models from 2007 to 2012.

BMW has known about the problem since July 2010. There’s no word on why it took the company so long to issue the recall.
