IMPD officers collide while responding to the same incident

Two officers were involved in a crash responding to the same incident Monday.

The accident happened at 86th Street and Emerald Way just after 7 p.m.

An officer on foot was trying to apprehend a child with autism who had taken off running. The two other officers were following in their cars in case their assistance was needed. The two cars collided, causing severe damage to both vehicles.

The boy was eventually apprehended. The officer on foot suffered a pulled hamstring.

The other two officers were not injured.

    to me it shows laziness, had to drive a car to catch a kid, then when running a pulled hmstring occured? top physical shape, switch to low calorie/low fat donuts….
