JOHNSON COUNTY, IND. — A fatal accident closed both directions of I-65 in Johnson County late Monday night.
The crash was reported around 10:30 p.m.
According to authorities, a wrong way driver traveling north in the southbound lanes collided with a semi before bursting into flames in the median.
The coroner was called to the scene and pronounced the driver of the passenger vehicle deceased.
INDOT and law enforcement closed both north and southbound traffic between Franklin and Edinburgh — Exit 90 and Exit 80 respectively — between 10:30 p.m. and 1 a.m.
All traffic lanes have reopened.
The identity of the person killed in the crash has not been released.
