The public meeting to discuss the city’s mass transit plan has been canceled Tuesday due to winter weather conditions in Central Indiana.

The meeting has been rescheduled to March 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation at 6501 N. Meridian St.

Indy Connect officials will share and ask for public feedback on the mass transit plan, which will add five rapid transit lines, double the current local bus service and add Express Bus routes and community circulators.

Officials said decisions made in the 2013 planning process will determine transit routes, the number and locations of station stops, the mode of transportation and whether the vehicles will operate in new or existing lanes of city streets.
