Northwest Indiana man accused of buying baby girl to produce porn

A Gary, Ind. man is facing several charges for allegedly purchasing a baby girl to use in the creation of child pornography.

Christopher Bour, 39, faces federal charges of production of child pornography, purchasing a child for production of child pornography and possession of child pornography featuring a minor under age 12.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a female acquaintance of Bour contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Feb. 13, after she said Bour sent her text messages indicating he was going to engage in sexual relations with a 1-year-old girl.

After receiving the complaint, investigators obtained permission from the acquaintance to impersonate her while using her phone to text Bour. During the text conversation, Bour reportedly messaged that he wanted the woman to “video me playing with the little one.” In other messages, Bour allegedly said the baby’s mom allowed the incidents to occur and said it all started when the baby was 4 months old, stated court documents.

A search warrant was issued the following day for Bour’s residence, where authorities seized a laptop, three cell phones, several DVD videos and several VHS tapes. According to the PC, child pornography was found on Bour’s computer.

During an interview with Bour, authorities said Bour admitted to viewing child pornography and said he became interested in it two years ago. When questioned about the text exchange, Bour said it was just a “fantasy” but claimed he never had sexual encounters with any minors, stated court documents.

The child’s mother, Natisha Hillard, 24, was also arrested in connection with the case.  She was charged with selling her child for production of child pornography and permitting her child to participate in the production of child pornography.

Bour and Hillard are being held without bond pending trial or further court proceedings.
