The Indiana Pacers picked up their 40th win of the season on Wednesday night over Minnesota, but in perhaps bigger news for Pacers fans, Roy Hibbert was unleashed offensively.
The big man down low scored a season-high 27 points, gathering 12 rebounds in Indiana’s 107-91 victory over the Timberwolves.
“Paul told me before the game that he was going to throw it down to me every time and I appreciate that,” Hibbert said. “I just feel like the atmosphere on the court and when we play hard, things are fun out there.
“Everybody’s scoring and getting stops and things like that. We like to see our team succeed.”
All-Star Paul George added 17 points, George hill chipped in 16 points and 6 assists, and the Pacers improved to 26-7 at home on the year.
Indiana returns to Bankers Life Fieldhouse Friday night when the Los Angeles Lakers come to town.
