It will cost less than planned to tear down the old Indianapolis International Airport.

Our partners at the Indianapolis Business Journal reported Thursday that the airport budgeted $11 million but the project will cost less than $6 million.

The land is being cleared to make way for future development but no one has publicly said why the demolition was pushed up years ahead of schedule.
