Indiana House Speaker Brian Bosma (R-Indianapolis) continues to recover after undergoing immediate surgery for a knee infection earlier this week.

A spokesperson with the Indiana House of Representatives said Speak Bosma is in “great spirits, doing well and is quickly recovering.”

Monday, the speaker informed caucus leaders that tests confirmed he had an infection in his knee that he had replaced this past summer.  He underwent surgery the following day.

Speaker Bosma told colleagues he hopes to return to work late next week or early the following week.

Thursday, members of the House signed a poster-size card to wish the speaker a speedy recovery.
