Meat producers to change names of cuts

Changes could be coming to the meat aisle at the grocery store.

The USDA has signed off on a plan to let meat producers change the names of their cuts in an effort to boost sales.

For instance, pork chops can now be called porterhouse chops, ribeye chops or New York chops, depending on how they should be cooked. What was once called boneless beef loin top sirloin cubes will now be called kabobs.

Hundreds of name changes are planned.

Food service meat processors have been using these names for many years so that the restaurants Chef or cookwould get the type product that they wanted. This will be good for the retailer and the shoppers.

Disgusting, eating the flesh of tortured and murdered animals is one of the most disgusting things human beings do. Are we savages or enlightened beings. Eating fresh is wrong wrong wrong.

My solution is very simple, you eat what you want and i'll leave you alone and I'll eat what I want and you leave me alone.

It is not possible to murder an animal.
      Definition of MURDER

      1

: the crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice aforethought

      2

a: something very difficult or dangerous <the traffic was murder>

b: something outrageous or blameworthy <getting away with murder>

And you might want to check out the reason why teeth are the way they are. We are omnivores, if you didn't know this already. Our little engine in us relies on both vegetation and meat to run on. Most of the people that I know who just veg it have iron problems. Since a great deal of your iron comes from red meats.

I'll eat it tortured or murdered .. just as long as it tastes good coming off the grill, out of the oven from the fry pan on the stove.

There's a food chain for a reason and we're top for a reason!

But like Thor said .. you eat what you want and I'll eat what I want. Just when civilization comes to a close and you can't your tofu or organic veggies .. don't look at my plate cause that squirrel on a stick is dinner!

To each their own. You have your beliefs and we have ours. We are both savages and enlightened beings. I don't tell you what to eat, don't tell me then.

Well I guess it's a good thing I buy protein by site (for the most part) and not by name.

I guess the changes are from Obama commie administration, so his welfare rats can now load up on prime rib and New York strips.

From everything I'm reading over 350 new names to come is there that many existing cuts? As a former carnivore turned enlightened vegan I'm curious as to new cuts being introduced under the new names… Previously only about 45 different cuts of beef under google images. Some keeping their names. Is the meat industry selling meat previously not consumed, or perviously further processed?
