INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police detectives investigated two shooting scenes on the northwest side Thursday night.

Police dispatchers received the first call at 10:12 p.m. reporting a person shot in the 4900 block of Brock Street, near West 52nd Street and Georgetown Road.

Once on scene, officers found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds.

Three minutes later, at 10:15 p.m., dispatchers received another call of a person shot outside the Shopper’s World store at the Lafayette Square Mall.

Officers found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds at that scene, too.

Police can’t immediately determine if the two scenes are connected, but they do know that one shooting victim was driven to the Lafaytte Square Mall where, police said, an unknown person called a female to pick up that victim and transport him to the hospital.

Medics transported both victims to Wishard Hospital in critical and extremely critical condtion.

Police continue this active investigation. Detectives urge anyone with information reference this incident to call IMPD at 317-327-3475 or CrimeStoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477).  Callers can also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
