Man arrested in burglary at mosque

INDIANAPOLIS – Police arrested a man accused of breaking into a local mosque in an attempt to steal money and a flatscreen television.

The burglary happened on April 9 at the Masjid Al-Fasr in the 2800 block of Cold Spring Road. Surveillance video showed a man trying to rip a TV from a wall. He also used a crowbar while trying to pry open safes to access money.

The investigation led police to arrest Johnathon Hamilton, who was arrested on charges of burglary and theft.
