The Pacers are stepping up to help high schoolers heading to the prom.

The team is working to help more than 300 girls find prom dresses. Six Indianapolis Public Schools participated in the prom dress drive and giveaway Monday morning at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The event was all thanks to the wife of Pacers forward David West.

“If I’ve been blessed to be able to have the things that I can have, providing a dress to alleviate the cost of prom is the least I could do,” said Lelsey West.

More than 500 dresses were up for grabs! In addition to the dresses, the girls learned some great makeup tips and received goodie bags.
