One of Central Indiana’s largest food banks was unable to distribute Monday. Gleaners Food Bank was closed all day due to a power outage.
Employees said it was an issue that’s underground. While crews work to fix the problem, the closure forced some organizations to make other plans.
“We won’t have near the food. We’ll have something for them but we may have to make an exception and let them come back next week… [it’s] the only thing I know to do,” said Bob Spargur.
Gleaners said it’s working on the issue and they expect to be operating at full capacity Tuesday.
