The Zionsville Country Veterinary Clinic is working to corral the expanding population of feral cats.

A feral cat is one that was born and lives in the wild.

While some people do take care of the cats, by leaving them food and water, most receive little, if any medical attention.

“We will allow people who have colonies or cats that they take care of to have them spade and neutered and get some basic care while they’re here at a reduced price,” said Dr. Shari Lyons.

The cats also receive a penicillin shot and a rabies vaccination.
