The defending WNBA champions returned home after their competitive 80-75 pre-season victory against San-Antonio this past Saturday night, and were in high spirits for the upcoming 2013 season as the Indiana Fever hosted their annual media day Monday morning inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The Fever will enter the 2013 season as the defending WNBA champions and are more than ready to defend their crown.

“If there’s one thing we took from this championship last year, it’s playing through adversity”, head coach Lin Dunn said. You know if someone goes down, someone else goes down, these girls have shown that they can play through adversity and good things can come from that.”

It should be yet another exciting year for the Fever, as this team will see the return of some key returners, including 12 year veteran Katie Douglas and WBNA all-star Tamika Catchings, making them heavy favorites to repeat as your WNBA champions. The Fever will travel once again to San Antonio on Friday May 24th, only this time, they will be opening up the regular season to get their 2013 campaign underway.
