An outside investigator will look at the problems with the ISTEP+ exam that left students and teachers across the state frustrated.

The Indiana Department of Education said the investigator will examine the test results, which contractor CTB/McGraw-Hill said wouldn’t likely be released until July. School districts around the state experienced problems with the online test earlier this month, resulting in delays.

Some schools want the results thrown out. The independent evaluator will determine if the results are valid.
