One Avon church held a special concert Sunday evening to help the storm victims in Oklahoma.

People gathered at the Community Church of God to remember the victims, and help the survivors who were left with almost nothing.

“It’s important because, Lord forbid this ever happen to us, we would want those people to reach into the center of Hendricks County and help us.”┬ásaid Pastor Craig Starkey. “That’s why it was important to reach out to Moore, Oklahoma and offer whatever help we can.”

There are lots of people who need that help, with hundreds of homes destroyed and at least nine people dead after Friday’s tornado.
