An update on a local family stuck in Florida FOX 59 first told you about Friday.

Since our story first ran, $8,500 have been donated to help the Ross family. They are in Florida right now, and their teenage daughter, Madison, is hospitalized with pneumonia.

The only way to get Madison home is by air.

Grace on Wings, a non-profit air ambulance service in Plainfield, has offered to cover Maddie’s flying expenses, minus the fuel which will cost around $10,000.

The family is about $1,500 short of that goal.
