Severe weather hits Central Indiana

Parts of Central Indiana were hit by severe weather Sunday afternoon, leaving damage in it’s wake.

Westfield Fire Department was called to the area of 16100 block of Etna Green Street for a house that was struck by lightning.

Power companies were kept busy all afternoon with power lines that were blown down by strong winds, in some cases, blocking roads, including I-465 on the northwest side.

A few homes in Zionsville had trees that fell on them, causing minor damage to homes.

Several counties reported flooding in low lying areas, in some cases cutting off county roads.
