INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were injured in a shooting on the city’s east side.

Officers were called to the 2000 block of Glenridge Drive investigating reports of a large disturbance and shots fired just around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

When police arrived, they found two female victims alert and conscious suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims gave officers descriptions of the alleged shooter and then medics transported them to Wishard Hospital.

While police were investigating the shooting, multiple witnesses reported the alleged shooter entering a vacant home nearby.

Police had everyone in the area take shelter while they investigated the claim, however the information turned out to be a false claim.

Aggravated assault detectives searched for suspects and talked to witnesses, but no one has been identified as a possible suspect.
