Indiana State Police Investigators say a vehicle slide off has slowed down traffic.  A truck driven by Hector Avila, 49, of Indianapolis, IN rear ended Dona Mann, 76, of Franklin, IN. Mann was shoved into the vehicle ahead of her.  In the end, six vehicles ended up in the crash.

Mann was pronounced dead at the scene by the Johnson County Coroner’s Office. Availa was sent to Wishard Hospital with back, neck and chest pain.

Seven other people involved in the crash were sent to Johnson County Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Neither alcohol nor drugs is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.

The investigation is continuing and no charges have been filed at this time.
