Missing Marion County inmate Brandy Majors was taken into custody by a sheriff’s deputy at 3:45 Sunday afternoon.

Majors, who was negotiating her surrender to Sheriff John Layton through Fox 59, was arrested on two felony warrants at a Fountain Square area park.  Majors told FOX 59 she was mistakenly released by sheriff’s deputies at 8 am Friday morning though her absence wasn’t discovered until late Saturday afternoon.

Layton tells Fox 59 that he is going to immediately send Majors to the Hendricks County Jail where she faces an outstanding theft warrant.

Majors did not know that she was being sought by the sheriff’s dept until she saw her mugshot on FOX 59 news.
