Big names in town for Indiana Black Expo

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– An old foe of Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller is one of several big names in the Hoosier State for the final weekend of the Indiana Black Expo’s 43rd Summer Celebration.

Spike Lee is receiving an award at the Expo’s corporate luncheon Friday, along with acting legend Billy Dee Williams and others.

Friday’s events are extensive, ranging from Children’s Day at the Family Fun Zone to the Youth Leadership Summit. On Friday night from 6-10 p.m., the O’Jays and Midnight Star are performing free of charge at the American Legion Mall.

Organizers told Fox 59 News the entire expo is attracting more than 225,000 people, with more than 70,000 expected at Friday’s free outdoor concert.
