Active weather pattern winding down. You’ll see some sunshine today. Low Rain chance…

There’s a chance for a couple of scattered showers for southern Indiana first this this morning.  Rain chances will actually taper off this morning for the south with places along I-69 northeast of Indianapolis having a chance for some afternoon and evening showers.  The chance for rain looks to be low for people spending the day around Indianapolis.

Overall the active weather pattern is beginning to wind down with some places seeing some sunshine yesterday.  I think today will be similar with an afternoon sun with clouds mix.  Yesterday we hit 84 for a high with a little sunshine and I think we do the same thing today.  Rain chances go down even more for your Sunday with highs also ticking down a couple of degrees.  Right now I am forecasting a high of 81.

As we head into the work week rain chances will return.  It looks like Tuesday is the day most likely to see some rain with a 40 percent chance (for now) for rain.  Long range model data is not outputting a lot of rain on Tuesday.  The EURO shows a modest .12 inches of rain all coming before 8a on Tuesday morning.  The GFS shows rain around basically all day but only 22 hundredths of an inch of total rain for the day.  While we won’t see a lot of rain we will see a temperature difference from Monday as compared to the rest of the week.  Monday’s high is forecast to hit 85 degrees.  The rest of the work week will have an average high of 78 degrees.  Enjoy your day!
