Tivicay actually interferes with one of the enzymes needed for HIV to multiply.

It is taken in a pill form and used daily with other drugs.

About 50,000 Americans are infected with HIV every year. The Centers for Disease Control reports more than 15,000 people died from the disease in 2010.
