IMPD seeking suspect in shooting

INDIANAPOLIS – IMPD detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding a shooting suspect whom the consider armed and dangerous.

27 year-old Troy Belk is wanted in connection with a shooting that happened on July 10th, in the 700 block of North Chester Avenue.  Detectives believe that Belk shot and injured 40 year-old Sylvester Kenny and 42 year-old Michael Spann during a robbery.  Both victims survived their injuries.

Belk is charged with Aggravated Battery (B Felony), Battery (C Felony), Robbery (A Felony), Criminal Confinement (B and D Felony) and Intimidation (D Felony).  He is described as a black male with black hair, 5 foot 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 215 pounds.  He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by anyone except the police.  Anyone knowing Belk’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or contact Detective Sibley at 317-327-3962.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers of Indiana at 317-262-TIPS.
