Court docs reveal teen rape suspect was accused in sexual attack of young friend

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— The teenager arrested in connection with the rape of a 93-year-old Anderson woman was accused in the sexual attack of his juvenile friend when he was just 10 years old, revealed court documents.

According to a probable cause affidavit, 17-year-old Iquise Taylor allegedly raped his friend, who was also 10 years old at the time. During the 2007 incident, Taylor was also accused of choking the boy, who he had been staying with for a few weeks.

Taylor is currently charged as an adult for rape, burglary, criminal confinement and strangulation in connection with the sexual attack on Amelia Rudolf, who spoke publicly about the incident Monday.

“If it wasn’t for the police department, I don’t know what I would’ve done,” she Rudolf. “I didn’t think I’d live long enough to see who did it.”

Rudolf also said she wondered about the suspect’s upbringing.

“I was just wondering how he was brought up…if his parents had taught him to do right,” she said.

Authorities said DNA samples collected from Taylor and at the scene helped tie him to the crime.
