Central Indiana got a refreshing change from the heat and humidity today. We only saw a few passing clouds during the day but no matter where you were, it was cooler. Here’s a look at the temperatures as of 3 PM.
Temperatures this afternoon were actually down 8-10 degrees from the highs we saw on Labor Day but dew points also took a drastic hit. Dew points are now right in the low 50s and that makes for very pleasant and comfortable air. This is going to make for another beautiful evening across Central Indiana, so do what you can to get outside and enjoy it. Temperatures will eventually fall into the mid to low 50s. Indianapolis should only dip down to 55° while some of the outlying towns will dip down into the low 50s.
Wednesday will be another fantastic day in Central Indiana. Skies will be mostly sunny again and temperatures will be just slightly warmer. We should top out around 80°F with a light wind from the northwest at 3-5 mph.
A ridge of high pressure will basically be sitting overhead and it guarantees rain free weather as well.
Temperatures will remain mild as we finish off this shortened work week. We’ll stay in the low 80s through Friday. But for the weekend, the heat is on! Temperatures will return back to the upper 80s by Sunday if not the 90 degree mark. Hot temperatures will be the name of the game as we start the coming work week as well.
