Temperatures will be the coolest in 3 months for today and Saturday

It will be a refreshing start to the day with temperatures dipping to the 50s to start off the morning.  As the last of a series of fronts passes through this morning the day will be cooler.  In fact morning lows just two days ago will be warmer than our high temperature for today!  On Wednesday our morning low was 72°.  Today’s high is forecast to be 71°.

This morning will be the third time this month we have seen morning lows in the 50s.  We also saw a high of just 76° on the third of this month.  Today will likely be the coolest weather we have seen since June 3rd when we only hit 68° for our daily high.  June 3rd was also the last time we saw temperatures falling below 50° here in Indianapolis.  That will likely happen overnight tonight as we are forecasting a morning low of just 45°.  It will be cooler outside the city and we could even have one or two places flirting with the 30s!

The weekend will be mostly dry with only a small rain chance late on Sunday into Monday.  Temperatures begin to warm for next week with us returning to the 80s by Tuesday.  Our next chance for rain after the chance on Sunday will be on Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.  At this point it looks like that will be the best chance for rain over the next 7 days.
