Funeral arrangements finalized for Hoosier soldier

Funeral arrangements have been finalized for Sergeant Randy Lane.

A visitation was held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center at Washington Park East Monday.

Additional visitation will take place at First Christian Church of Neoga, 190 E. 6th Street, in Neoga, Illinois, on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. (C.S.T.) with funeral service scheduled at 10 a.m. (C.S.T.) on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Burial will follow at the Swedish Lutheran Cemetery in Trowbridge, Illinois. Flanner and Buchanan is handling all services in Indiana and Illinois.

Sergeant Lane died from a non-combat related illness in Afghanistan on Sept. 13.

The 43-year-old was assigned to the 190th Transportation Battalion in Franklin, Ind.
