A lawsuit over a sexual assault at a Muncie high school has been settled.

A teenaged girl and her mother sued the school district, the ex-superintendent and the school’s former principal.

The girl was sexually assaulted inside a bathroom at the school in 2010.

A classmate was eventually sentenced to prison for the crime.

The victim said school administrators did not alert police immediately after the attack.

Details of the settlement are confidential.
