Butler pauses to remember Officer James Davis

Tuesday marked nine years since Butler Police Officer James Davis was killed in the line of duty.

Officer Davis, 31, was fatally shot while investigating reports of a suspicious person outside Hinkle Fieldhouse.

The mentally ill suspect attacked Davis, took his gun and shot him. That suspect was killed a few hours later during a shootout with police.

Davis left behind a wife and three children.
